I worked with Janice for about three years at the height of Periscope, Twitter's livestreaming app, around 2016-2019. Janice was one of our top VIP Periscopers, who had a genuine love and enthusiasm for engaging with people across the globe through the app and organizing a schedule for related topical Periscopers to go live at. I reached out to Janice to see if she would be interested in creating and starting our first official VIP Periscope Community Channel, to which she replied yes and put in work immediately to launch it in coordination with my team. The channel was called #OwnVoices and focused on Black American and African history and culture. It was an absolute success for the app, and from there we launched a few other VIP Community Channels. Janice's willingness to try new ideas, coupled with her ability to successfully organize social media campaigns, are what I credit directly to the success of her channel. Additionally, she led her team with empathy and encouraged them to work further with Periscope and Twitter employees to find innovative and interesting ways to use the Periscope platform. I highly enjoyed my time working with Janice and absolutely recommend her for anything related to social media, communications, business strategy, and diversity & inclusion efforts.

Janice used her immense Social Media knowledge and connections to drastically increase brand awareness and fundraising efforts for Project HOOD. She seamlessly integrated her methods with the specific organization goals for this Not-for-profit. Some very pivotal fundraising relationships were formed directly because of her efforts. She was instrumental in the first phase of fundraising that netted $450,000.
