Russell Johnson
Strategy by Design accepted an assignment to assist in the design and testing of a unique funding partnership among foundations working in the Philadelphia region. Through Janet's knowledge of the funder community and specifically those funders interested in addressing the challenges of poverty, the funding partnership has ten partners after 18 months. Janet assisted in identifying potential funding partners, the design and operational needs of the fiscal sponsoring organization and in vetting various structural and operational ideas. Janet is engaged, accessible and employed critical thinking skills throughout this engagement.
Lauren Fine
Our nonprofit organization, the Youth Sentencing & Reentry Project (YSRP) has been fortunate to work with Janet over the last six months, and we anticipate continuing to work together for years to come. She has helped us set up systems to help us assess the effectiveness and impact of YSRP’s work and inform program improvements. Working with Janet has been terrific in all respects: she is incredibly insightful, perceptive, and practical, and is not afraid to ask hard questions or constructively challenge concepts. She is honest, reliable and incredibly hardworking. She also holds herself and us accountable in ways that are both respectful and push the work forward. Most importantly, she is a delightful person who is easy to get along with and makes working together fun and rewarding. I could not recommend her more highly.
