Janet is a total superstar. By supporting us at Leukaemia UK in gathering and looking after case studies, Janet has shown extraordinary compassion, care, and attention to detail. Nothing is ever too much trouble for Janet, who operates completely without ego, and truly invests herself into the work. I love working with Janet and have zero hesitation in recommending her.

I have had the pleasure of working with Janet over the last few years, and her support with copywriting, PR, media training, developing impact stories, social media strategy (and more) has been invaluable. She brings a wealth of experience, knowledge and creativity to every task, turns around requests in record time, has a great eye for spotting things we might not have considered, and is a joy to work with. 11/10!

I’ve worked with Janet numerous times across the years and she’s always a delight as well as a total professional. Janet knows instinctively what makes a great story and is seasoned at arranging all the components to create a perfect PR package. She’s secured so much coverage for the brands we’ve worked together on across the different media, national and regional. I would trust her to deliver any story, knowing what is right for the brand. I have witnessed her go above and beyond, offering to work extra hours to chase a lead, on numerous occasions. She is so flexible and understands that unfortunately the role of a PR pro is not always 9-5. I love working with Janet and hope to do so again very soon

As the inaugural social media lead at BBC Radio Devon I was accountable for the development and growth of the new BBC Radio Devon social media function, overseeing recruitment, training and development of the team.I planned and implemented social media strategies, created content, tracked social media engagement and reach, and kept up to date with social media trends. I also led internal communications to foster collaboration with the wider team. One strategic success was boosting Instagram followers by over 11k in 2.5 years. Alongside this, I undertook a role to develop the BBC relationship with Exeter College, contributing to the institute maintaining an ‘outstanding’ Ofsted grade. My work involved supporting the implementation of a programme of teaching, assessment and a live newsroom day with college students. Show less

I supported the charity’s transformation, through effective leadership of the regional communications team, implementing the new brand and tone of voice amongst the regional staff teams and volunteers. Together we drove forward a transformed public perception of SJA which resulted in increased support of time, skills and giving, increased take-up for first aid courses, and boosted volunteering and giving. I also drove the regional team in the campaign to push for first aid to be included on the school curriculum. I led all aspects of an integrated campaign named The Chokeables, consisting of advertising, PR, and digital activity; the campaign focused on an animation which taught parents how to save the life of a choking baby; within six weeks it had reached 31m people on TV, achieved 15m organic video views online, over 400 pieces of media coverage and anecdotally saved the lives of 59 babies. I was integral to the team winning various awards including: Chartered Institute of PR Excellence Awards: Winner Healthcare campaign, shortlisted for Digital campaign and Integrated campaign 2015; Winner Broadcast campaign, shortlisted for Integrated campaign and Not-for-Profit campaign 2013; Winner Not-for-Profit campaign and Measurement 2011; CorpComms: Winner Best use of Broadcast 2013; PR Week Awards: Winner, Not-for-Profit campaign 2013 and Charity Times: PR Team of the Year 2011.
