Program Director
-
Aug 2005 - May 2018
A nonprofit organization dedicated to the advancement of teaching, learning and community development through the arts. We served broad and diverse populations aged pre-K through adult including teachers, administrators, artists, parents, immigrants, economically challenged, and special needs populations. I maintained a reputation for high quality, efficacy and reliability while overseeing a portfolio of programs comprised of artist residencies and professional development in arts-integrated teaching. Responsibilities included program design and development and oversight of multiple teams, schedules, budgets, assessments and reports. Programs in my portfolio included: GET smART Professional Development Program; Lewis Arts Studio; All Kids Included -Youth Arts in the Parks; various after-school programs; early childhood programs; professional development in art-integrated strategies to teachers, administrators and teaching artists; and presentations at conferences. The GETsmART professional development program for artists and teachers was rated within the top 5% of similar Miami-Dade County programs supported by The Children’s Trust. Show less
