I cannot speak highly enough of the work Janet is doing with her consulting firm, LEFEM Consulting. Our emergency service workers deserve quality training, implementation and support, especially when transitioning to a new software platform. Janet saw a need and did her part to help resolve it. I highly recommend LEFEM Consulting and Janet Burke.

Janet Burke is one of the most versatile, adaptable people with whom I have ever worked. During her time as a product advisor to my support team, Janet proved herself intelligent, well-informed and helpful. Even since her transition into a different role not attached to the support department, I have been able to rely on her to provide guidance when requested. Janet is a great person and incredible employee. SunGard is very fortunate to have her.

Worked as a training specialist who taught individuals how to use our records management, jail management, and mobile field reporting software. Worked with system administrators on how to configure the system to best fit for their business practices and policies. Wrote documentation for the agencies and maintained screenshots of the settings they chose for their processes. As a subject matter expert was able to do both System administrator, user and train the trainer type training. As a customer support analyst when not on the road training, was able to resolve most of the issues that occurred during the training process. Show less

Created and maintained a “clean environment” for Implementation to use for installs and updates. Using Black box testing methodology reproduced and identified defects in the software prior to it being released to customers and when a customer reported the issue. Performed routine inspections of finished new custom development items to check for defects and other problems before releasing it to customers. Maintained records of software tests, defects, and summarized corrective actions taken in a bug tracking system. Created operation manuals and training materials that outlined the new functionality or processes and any updates to previous procedures or practices within the software. Show less

    • Project Coordinator -State Development
      • Sep 2000 - Jan 2019

Transferred to a new position of managing State Development projects for Development. Reached out and created State contacts in each state that we were deployed in for the purpose of knowing when State forms and requirements changed so that our development team knew what to change and by what deadline. Fluent in UCR/IBR changes in each state. I also needed to know about citation forms, accident forms and any other laws/forms that were required by law enforcement for each state, including jail forms. Show less

Provide software application consultancy, primarily to customers during the implementation phase of a project. Consultancy services include both tasks performed onsite with the customer and offsite at the office. Core tasks include analysis of customer operational processes (discovery process) and presenting a demonstration of the product address key points and concerns voiced during the process, installing Records Management, Jail Management and Mobile Field Reporting systems. Answer questions and concerns during the training process and assisting the Customer through the switch over to Go Live on the new software. Alongside this, there is specification and project documentation to write and convey to customers, trainers and project managers. Also, work alongside internal parties (e.g. Project Manager, Product Owner, Development Managers, Business Analysts and Business Managers and any other relevant staff) to assist in delivering consulting services. Was in charge of answering ambulance calls, assigning them beds, taking physician orders and translating them into the computer. Troubleshoot issues before escalating them to the IT department, which was extremely understaffed. I was instrumental in prioritizing my tasks and keeping the medical staff on track during extremely busy time periods. I kept the flow running smoothly so busy did not seem out of the ordinary. All prior work was related to the Customer Relations area. Was in charge of answering ambulance calls, assigning them beds, taking physician orders and translating them into the computer. I was the on-site System Administrator for the building. Our Corporate office was off site and if there were any immediate problems they would call me and try to have me handle the situation so they would not have to come out. Typed up service contracts, dispatched calls and answered service calls as they came in. Learned and was able to manually program the phone system, learned how to program and answer the Nextel system when we switched over to that. Learned Citrix when that was installed on our system.
