  The Hive is a collaborative space for creative development and human-centered design at The Claremont Colleges. As a member of the student staff, I boost efficiency in operations of the maker space including directing students to desired materials, managing workshop RSVPs, and organizing workshops that have a focus on human-centered design. As a proctor of the screen-printing lab, I lead workshops and hold one-on-one lessons for screen-printing projects (this includes mass-printing pieces for organizations at the Claremont Colleges). I also clean the Print Lab and maintain the functionality of the space's screens, inks, and lights. Show less

  Californians United for a Responsible Budget (CURB) is a Black-led statewide coalition of more than 80 grassroots organizations. Its three-point mission is to reduce the number of incarcerated people in California, reduce the number of prisons and jails in our state, and shift wasteful spending away from incarceration and toward health community investments. As a Media and Development intern, I support media and communications efforts for CURB's #CloseCAPrisons campaign. I research plans for prison closure, write op-eds for local and statewide papers, and manage social media accounts. I also assist CURB in developing and fundraising efforts to generate broad public support for shrinking California’s prison and jail system, reducing incarceration, and investing in community-based solutions. This involves cultivating relationships with potential and current donors, coordinating logistics of various fundraising activities (events, mailings, thank you cards), and managing databases and lists related to fundraising and development.   Guided by values of integrity, service, creativity, and inclusion, the Laspa Center for Leadership seeks to advance gender equity by providing distinctive programming, enhanced networks, and experiential learning designed to expand the global influence, power, and impact of Scripps College graduates and future leaders. As a Scholar-in-Action, I Co-led Scripps College's Civic Engagement Initiative, a program urging democratic participation and engagement in the 2022 Midterm Elections. In this role, I organized a letter-writing initiative with “Vote Forward,” collectively writing 300+ letters to voters in underrepresented areas encouraging voter participation. I also developed the Scripps College 2022 Democratic Engagement action plan for the “ALL IN” Campus Democracy Challenge with the organization "Civic Nation." Show less
