Board Secretary, Office of Chief Counsel
-
Mar 2020 - Present
I work collaboratively with the FirstNet Executive Team and 15 FirstNet Board members to ensure coordination of FirstNet priorities and timely guidance and information from Board members. I’m responsible for directing the collection and review of materials presented to the Board and the general public during five Combined Board and Committee Meetings a year.Since starting with FirstNet in March 2020, I have managed the challenges associated with coordinating virtual Board meetings and ensuring that the Board Members, FirstNet staff, and the public are able to participate in meetings from any location. Successes include developing procedures to ensure more efficient Board support operations, crafting a plan for the Board budget for the next fiscal year, and establishing effective communication channels with other federal agency employees at the Department of Commerce and the National Telecommunications and Information Administration.
