  Communication was at the forefront of my role as a senior representative on the team supporting US Congressman Ed Whitfield, First District of Kentucky. During his tenure in Congress, I was the communication liaison between the people of our community and the Congressman. I represented and communicated to organizations on his behalf at various community events, meetings and press/media briefings forming essential partnerships and relationships for the Congressman. My most significant work through this role was the coordination and communication I led for emergency situations in our region. These included the Ice Storm (2009), the severe flooding in our region and the Birds Point Levee breach (2011) and the Egner's Ferry Bridge accident (2012). Show less
