My practice is focused on complex civil litigation in state and federal courts, with a particular emphasis on construction disputes in the oil and gas industry. I also have represented clients in a range of other commercial matters, including breach of contract, fraud and breach of fiduciary duty, trade secret, and tort matters. I have been the lead lawyer on several cases in state and federal courts, including cases involving the Fair Credit Reporting Act. In addition, I have significant experience representing energy industry participants with Federal Energy Regulatory Commission matters, including conducting internal investigations, submitting self-reports, and assisting with the internal restructuring of a natural gas trading business. I am a member of the Construction Law Section of the State Bar of Texas, as well as a member of the Houston Bar Association. I am actively involved in pro bono matters, including taking a leading role in representing Central American immigrant women in asylum cases. I also served as a volunteer prosecutor for the City of Houston, where she successfully tried nearly a dozen cases to juries.
