      I was a part of the founding committee for this very successful community bank, brought about when the last major commercial bank in the town closed their doors, and worked closely with the founder to meet regulations and open doors for business in 2012. With my background in business and accounting I continue to be a trusted adviser within the board and today hold the role of secretary. This involves preparing minutes of meetings, addressing correspondence, attending and organising functions, and organising the AGM. I also prepare grants paperwork, consult with other directors on matters regarding the management of financial grants to community groups, and hold phone consultations and interviews with potential grant applicants.Today the community funding organisation is able to successfully place money money back into the community, which is very gratifying.

We worked with Bicycle Qld and the Brisbane Valley Rail Trail Users Association to provide a festival at the end of their event. I have organised for business training for members as well as assisting with in-house business training. I assist with applying for and acquitting grants. I attend Chamber of Commerce functions in larger towns as a representative of this group.
