The CP develops a triennial program of contemporary theatre, development, arts residencies, events and commissions. Funded through State and Federal Arts bodies, Vitals also rely on philanthropy, grants and fundraising. As the principal of the company, I was across the touring of (both securing and enacting) productions, marketing, production, sponsorship, philanthropic strategies and programs, venue, stakeholders and artistic departments. The creative producer model was new to Vitalstatistix Theatre Company, having previously had at the helm, an Artistic Director. By embracing this producer model, the company entered a new era – that of active collaborative partnership that ricochet’s right through the company, from artistic practice to sponsorship and business development.
