• Lead the Internal Services Division of Public Works for the Columbus Consolidated Government, which is responsible for all cartography, spatial analysis, and large print projects requested by each of Public Works 12 divisions. • Plan and assign cartographical and administrative tasks to team members within the Internal Services Division. • Produce GIS reports for Public Works Director and other departments within the Columbus Consolidated Government. • Apply Geographic Information Systems (GIS) technology to solve tasks analytically using complex SQL queries. • Utilize current Landsat data to perform image reclassification (ex. temporal tree canopy analysis) using both ERDAS Imagine and ArcMap. • Edit using versioning within a city-wide Enterprise Geodatabase (SDE) containing GIS data for all city utilities and infrastructure, including easements and rights-of-way. • Develop public-facing surveys and interactive maps for the Columbus community using the ArcGIS Online portal. • Identify and correct gaps in existing GIS data. • Collaborate with supervisors in other divisions on projects pertaining to waste collection, stormwater, easements, tree canopy, parks and recreation, and land use. • Participate in weekly GIS meetings and regular educational training sessions aimed to build technical skills in ArcGIS Pro, Python, and other integrated GIS programs.
