Secondary Teacher
-
Jul 2010 - Dec 2015
As a secondary teacher at Mosman High School, I taught across the curriculum in the English, Drama, History, Geography and Music departments. In this capacity I provided students with the opportunity to learn in different ways through the integration of a wide variety of learning activities. I understand the significance of addressing individual student needs, responding to individual student learning plans and through differentiated learning practices I worked to engage students with different levels of knowledge and experience. I worked to demonstrate skills, present ideas and concepts with clear and engaging presentations and through this worked to consolidate student learning through written activities, oral presentations, visual representations, online references/information, role playing and group activities and assignments. I also mentored both young teachers who were new to the system, as well as Year 12 students undertaking their final year assessments and exams. Show less
