At Slide The City my duties were to help with setting up the slide and put up tents and tables for guest check-in before we opened the slide for guests. As our guests began to show up I would be responsible for helping them check-in and provide the merchandise they purchased prior to arrival. for those who didn't purchase tickets online I would sell tickets to on the spot. I was also responsible for training and managing our volunteers that helped us throughout our events. Once check-in slowed down I was free to move to other stations such as the slide itself which I could help the guests onto the slide or I could stand on the slide and push the sliders down the slide as they got stuck on dry spots. At the end of each event I would then help with taking down the slide and conduct inventory of all merchandise. Show less

Lift Operator

All lift operators are expected to be at the resort very early in the morning to get the lift up and running. I would check oil levels and all other factors involved with running a ski lift. After the lift is started one lift operator would ride the chair lift to the top and get everything set up there and remain at the top until the end of their shift. The top chair lift operator would be responsible for creating a safe drop of spot for skiers and snowboarders for the entirety of the day.
