      I currently serve as the acting Chief Economist of the Research and Policy Unit in the Department of Finance. My area of focus consists of assisting in tax policy formulation, with an emphasis on modelling the financial and socioeconomic impact of tax measures. Further to this I’m integrally involved designing and implementing the unit’s research agenda with an emphasis on deepening our understanding of unemployment dynamics in Saint Lucia.Accomplishments include;Successfully launched the inaugural 2018 Saint Lucia Research Symposium as part of the 2018 Productivity Week. This activity is now an annual one and was held in 2019 as well.Successfully advocated for and assisted in the design of various tax policies personal income tax, incentive and VAT reform.Author of several works including;Determinants of Saint Lucia Unemployment (Mr J Leone and Ms R Preville) Journal of Eastern Caribbean Studies Vol 44.
