  For two months, I was assisting PhD Karolina Bukowska-Strakova. The subject of the internship was “‘Role of polymorphisms in haem oxygenase-I gene in drug resistant blasts in children with acute lymphoblastic leukaemia". My duties mostly consisted of performing flow cytometry part of the experiments. At that time, I was preparing blood samples for tests, using flow cytometer to collect data and analysing received results. Additionally, I was responsible for media preparation, blood fractions separation and cell sorting.
