  My name is Jan Lawrence. My role at present is as a Program co-ordinator (RPN, Masters of Mental Health) across the Eastern Institute of Technology at Taradale Hawkesbay and Tairawhiti. Having worked in a number of roles my passion is with teaching and working with and designing programs that ultimately make a difference especially in the area of mental heatlh. My skills include program design, Online teaching/delivery, cirriculum development, research, presentations, working with community and Mental Health nursing. Policy development and how it is applied in industry has always been an important link to me. Change for the betterment of people and specifically for the mental health of people is a quest for me and I love to see how people, organisations and government agencies work in the same direction in different unique ways. Being on the board for a large consumer driven organisation, combined with my teaching endevours and research/publications on how to make a difference for those with mental illness puts me in a very unique position to veiw and be part of many changes. I look forward to connecting with other people and hearing of their passion and success. Show less
