At the time the hospital was built, Irvine did not have a community hospital and it was through the efforts of many Irvine citizens that the idea became reality. As a member of the senior management team, I was heavily involved in the design and licensing of the the facility, the design of the organizational structure, development of the medical staff, and the opening of the hospital.
