In addition we deal with big freight forwarders such as Blue Water Shipping, Deugro, SDV, Bertling, Agility, DSV, DHL, Panalpina and NMT Projects. Since I started working at the tramp desk, I have obtained substantial knowledge about stowage of cargo, lifting of heavy cargo units and offering for tenders and contracts of affreightment. I did fixtures on voyage charter, time charter and period charter with the major owners and operators within this market. Among my fixtures were shipments of dangerous cargo which demands a lot of preparation and documentation before the shipment can take place. Among others I have been fixing transport of diving equipment, yachts, mining equipment, pipes for the offshore industry and rubber tired gantry container cranes. I managed to improve the number of fixtures in the chartering department. However the management decided to close down the chartering desk and I was put on notice and had my last day with the company on October 31st 2010.

During my 6 months in Vietnam I was in charge of employing 4 x 2000 mts deadweight geared tweendeckers built early 1980’s. Those 4 vessels were trading with general cargo such as steel coils, pipes, containers and knocked down cranes within the Persian Gulf – Far East range. Due to the fact I had worked as a tanker broker before it was decided to relocate me back to Denmark to work in Erria’s main office when Erria took over 3 tanker vessels in range from 2500 upto 7000 mts deadweight. Those tanker vessels were all trading with chemicals, vegetable oils and molasses. I did the brokering and operation for those 3 vessels for 1 year when Erria then decided to take over Ibex Maritime in Istanbul to carry out the brokering and operation. Those vessel were mainly in Northern Europe trade with the bulk segment.
