  The Solutions Journalism Network (SJN) approved my project of "Mainstreaming Solutions Journalism into Media Education and Practice". Officially, I am now a Solutions Journalism Africa Fellow, joining SJN inaugural community of media innovators, journalists and artists, to create nuanced coverage and new platforms that enhance solutions journalism on the continent. From September to November, I will deploy my skills as a Ph.D candidate, freelance journalist, lecturer and researcher to launch and execute the Solutions Journalism (SoJo) project in Ogun State, Nigeria, by training and building capacities of journalism educators, students and journalists in the South West state. This will mainstream SoJo principles in academia and media practice, and encourage journalism students to view and publish stories with a solution perspective and in ways that enhance peace and development in a fragile country like Nigeria. #SoJoAfrica Show less
