I observed Ms. Jamila Gordon successfully complete an intense and fast-paced program at Seattle University in summer 2014 for the Johns Hopkins University Center for Talented Youth program. Ms. Gordon went above and beyond in fulfilling her duties -- carefully counseling students upon the recommendation of other staff members, addressing concerns for the program's success as well as for the program participants as they arose, and worked collaboratively with other administrators to provide the best experience for all program participants. Not only did she provide great leadership for her students, but also set a great example for other staff members to strive to achieve as much as we could during the program. I am lucky to have worked with this hard-working, open-minded lady in Seattle and hold no reservations in recommending her for future positions.
