Having lived in Clevedon for a number of years I thought it was time to find out what goes on there. I started attending town council meetings as a member of the public and found myself interested in what for many people is the unseen side of council workings. When elections loomed into view in 2015 I debated with myself (and others) as to whether to stand. Ultimately I couldn't not stand - without getting involved how could I justifiably criticise when the council did something to which I was opposed. Supporting back office functions (GL, AR, AP) in JD Edwards OneWorld. Coded an interface in Powerhouse to replace manual processes passing data between Sales Order systems and a Delivery Vehicle Optimisation system (Planner). This interface reduced the effort required to maintain the Optimisation system and allowed for its expansion across a number of regions within the company. Re-wrote the vehicle optimisation system to interface into JDE Edwards. Designed and built data migration software to enable a successful transition from in-house legacy Powerhouse systems to JD Edwards OneWorld. Re-wrote an MS Access database system for maintaining company car information into JD Edwards. Provided out-of-hours on-call support for the monthly invoicing suite of programs. Show less

Wrote invoice reprint routine in Powerhouse (7.29), Visual Basic and MPE command language to allow customers to reprint own invoices to relieve support staff as part of system consolidation project. Involved in the preparation of data for migration from HP3000 legacy systems to new SAP based systems. Investigation, extraction and massage of data. Maintained and supported legacy systems for 23 countries worldwide.
