Within my time at Steamboat Transportation Group so far, I have been learning to book loads, make check calls to track and trace various shipments, scout potential prospects and work with such an amazing team as a transportation intern. I have been gaining valuable experience and expanding my knowledge in ways that I could not have imagined within the supply chain industry! Currently, when I am not in school, I work at the Corner Pub restaurant in Franklin, Tennessee, as a server. Throughout my three years of employment, I have learned to successfully manage several customers by prioritizing tables’ needs. This helped me develop long-term relationships with customers by providing and maintaining positive customer experience. similarly, I would address several customers using clear communication over the phone to take orders and navigate customer service. This guided me when learning to effectively collaborate with my coworkers to create solution decisions. Also, I continually mastered internal and external training to stay accurately informed on company policies. This allowed me to lead several training seminars, for new employees, to effectively teach the core values and management expectations of the company. Show less

Throughout my four years on the varsity football cheerleading team at Centennial High School, my squad volunteered each fall at the Cooper Trooper Foundation’s pumpkin patch. This foundation funds pediatric cancer research through the profits they receive selling pumpkins. As a volunteer, we were tasked with unloading pumpkins from trucks, sorting the pumpkins and setting them on display for potential buyers to view. I truly enjoyed this experience and found that volunteering my time for a cause that was much bigger than myself was very rewarding. Show less
