      Topic: Malnutrition in Parkinson’s disease and an individualisedapproach to its managementThe PhD process involves critical analysis of existing research relating to nutrition in Parkinson’s disease. As a result of this, a systematic review relating to malnutrition in Parkinson's disease has been published in the scholarly journal, Nutrition Reviews. This research project includes the use of nutrition assessment tools to assess nutritional status in Parkinson’s disease and to identify those factors predicting poor nutritional status (Phase I). A randomised, controlled intervention was conducted with the participants who were malnourished or at risk of malnutrition in Phase I aiming to improve nutritional status.
