  Topic: Malnutrition in Parkinson’s disease and an individualisedapproach to its managementThe PhD process involves critical analysis of existing research relating to nutrition in Parkinson’s disease. As a result of this, a systematic review relating to malnutrition in Parkinson's disease has been published in the scholarly journal, Nutrition Reviews. This research project includes the use of nutrition assessment tools to assess nutritional status in Parkinson’s disease and to identify those factors predicting poor nutritional status (Phase I). A randomised, controlled intervention was conducted with the participants who were malnourished or at risk of malnutrition in Phase I aiming to improve nutritional status. A survey about current practice in nutritional management of people with Parkinson’s disease was conducted with 84 Australian and Canadian dietitians. Guidance was provided for the ethics submission and the creation of the survey. The student independently performed the data collection. I interfaced with the engineering community and other service groups, including the scan tool group, to address potential issues in the servicing of displays components. I was responsible for establishing technical specification templates for the team to use in order to source and communicate service design requirements for new commodities. These design requirements included the Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs), monitored inputs, and controlled outputs that should exist for the systems utilizing serial data communication (Class 2 and CAN).
