I have known Jamie since my sophomore year of college when she was the President of Roger Williams University’s PRSSA chapter. Jamie led our chapter with passion, dedication, and drive. She made all members feel welcome and was friendly and compassionate toward everyone who walked into our weekly meetings. She made it her mission to make everyone see the value of PRSSA and take charge of their professional careers by encouraging members to go after the internships and goals they wanted to reach. In addition to being an amazing leader, she embodies what everyone wants in a mentor. She consistently reached out to younger members and offered to help them in any way she could. Whether that be proofreading a cover letter or resume, to giving you advice on things to highlight in a job interview, or just sending you a good luck text the morning of your interview, I am incredibly lucky to have Jamie as a mentor and friend. Her enthusiasm, positive attitude, and success in the PR industry make you want to be the best version of your professional self. In addition to being my personal mentor, she was also a mentor to me while I was President of our PRSSA chapter, two years after she served as President. She would check in every couple of weeks and give you high fives over the phone when something great happened and there to talk through everything else. Jamie puts in 110% and constantly works toward her next goal!
