Oversee the development and organization of our staple Zumba in the Parks program. Manage over 27 instructors, implement quarterly community Zumba parties, work on developing program and hiring new instructors, trouble shoot community needs and requests, manage programs social media platforms (youtube, facebook, instagram) attend various community meetings, structure program and it's projected future, work with SportUp on real time program data and communicate effectively with all instructors, facility coordinators and community. The Zumba in the Parks program currently has over 35+ Free fitness classes a week, an average of 6,000 participants a month. All family friendly and free of charge!

I wear many hats for the department and am dedicated to bringing visibility to our people, parks and programs. Public Relations work responsibilities included managing various Department social media platforms, such as Youtube, Facebook, and Instagram. Managed and developed the Departments Youtube channel and produced over 300+ promotion videos. Coordinated shoots, conducted on-camera interviews, edited material, shared with community. Created the monthly report videos and showcased them to the Recreation & Park Commissioners and General Manger every month at our monthly City Hall meetings. Coordinated, organized and outreached over a dozen park openings and closures. This included working with various community groups, friends of/ neighborhood groups, District Supervisors/ City Officials and various Rec Park staff in successful ground breaking and ribbon cutting events. Managed site map, event logistics, vendor communication and confirmation, create event flyer and distribute, as well as head coordinator day-of, and set up and take down of event site and AV equipment. On top of all my event and social media responsibilities, I am one of the Departments designated photographers. I help with updating the seasonal activity/ program guide and have been published in San Francisco Chronicle, Travel & Leisure, Sunset magazine, Biology Text book, California Parks Recreation Society and Medium.
