I had the pleasure of working closely with Jamie for a number of years while in a previous role. She is an expert collaborator and has an amazing ability to create a communication tool out of a discussion and an idea. Jamie provided communication and marketing support to my team when planning for a workshop at a provincial conference. She listened to the topic, our ideas, the needs of the participants, and created communication and marketing tools that were spot on. Her work elevated the quality of the session we facilitated. I also had the opportunity to collaborate with her on content for The Sandbox (www.thewellnesssandbox.ca). Jamie is skilled in taking content written by subject matter experts and adapting style based on the approach. We collaborated on blogs and other communication tools directly for covered members. She always exceeded expectations and built trusted professional relationships with her colleagues.

When Jamie stepped into the role of board director for the CPRS Mentorship Committee she took on a lot, however she has shown leadership and dedication to the role. Her efforts to cultivate an engaging mentorship program is evident in the number of successful mentorship pairings we have this year and the long-standing professional relationships that have developed as a result. She is committed to the program and it shows. Jamie is always open to ideas and collaboration which benefits the program as a whole and make our committee meetings engaging. I look forward to watching the Mentorship program grow under her direction.

As a communications advisor at ASEBP, I had my hands in many proverbial honeypots. From managing one of our popular blog platforms, The Sandbox, leading the charge on ASEBP's branding and its roll-out, strategically developing, managing and training for our media relations portfolio, and writing for a multitude of platforms—think internal resources; digital content for our website, app and online benefits portal; and external-facing projects for school leaders—I collaborated with colleagues to make a positive impact on our covered members and employer groups daily. At EEDC, I was a marketing and communications specialist in the Urban Economy Division. My focus was ensuring my team's marketing and communications needs were met by developing strategies for each of our five departments and project managing their large-scale initiatives. I was always juggling significant projects at once and loved it. My focus was on the communications needs of our team by creating a meaningful media relations plan, conducting story seeding and long-term relationship building with stakeholders and journalists. I also developed strategic content plans for EEDC's social media platforms, wrote content and created reports and analytics for thoughtful consideration for the management team. In my previous role at EEDC as a marketing specialist in the centralized Marketing & Communications Division, I was project manager for our other divisions' needs. On a daily basis I worked on internal communications and issues management, acting as the liaison between other departments and my own, as well as ensured the brand and messaging of each department was accurately represented in all projects that came my way. I managed project budgets and schedules, ensuring accurate timelines and project goals were met. In this role, I also conducted community outreach and communications initiatives for cross-promotion and awareness campaigns. My position required lots of writing in the form of marketing and communications plans, project briefs, liaising all of this information to my teammates and internal clients. Another facet of my position was helping with event planning and promotions. I sat on major project planning committees for some of EEDC's large-scale events, such as the annual Impact Luncheon and Ignite Edmonton Festival (formerly E-town), to ensure that our brand and messaging was delivered in meaningful ways.
