I began working with Jamie seven years ago at a time when software development in a professional environment was still relatively new to me. Jamie has taught me a huge amount about QA in this time which is an area I had zero experience in before. Jamie has consistently challenged me to consider the impact of the choices I'm making as a software developer; how will this work on a rubbish connection? is this bonkers interaction I've come up with accessible? does this work on *this* device? does this fit with the existing design + user experience? I can say with confidence that I'm a better software developer because of Jamie's thoughtful and methodical approach. Jamie and I have worked together on countless projects at Made by Many and we've built up a brilliant working relationship; a productive one for sure, which ultimately comes from reaching a level of trust where we both know what our responsibilities are and how we can support each other to do our best work.

Working with Jamie is an absolute pleasure. He has a wonderfully human-centric approach to QA and an innate ability to dig out those edge-case issues which can easily get overlooked. Not to mention being an awesome guy who makes a mean G&T. As an engineer who’s spent a lot of time working with Jamie directly, I couldn’t recommend him more highly.

Responsible for the QA process and champion of quality. Some projects that I'm proud to have worked on from conception to delivery:- ITV News - a full site re-design and re-build. This provided significant benefit to ITV, including increasing traffic by 2000%- ITV News app - taking the success we had on the responsive desktop site and applying this to a hybrid app for Android and iOS.- Composed - a classical music streaming service for Universal Music. This is a cross platform project which is available on Android, iOS and Browsers and includes an API and CMS. Show less

During my time working with View I managed the QA process for the relaunch of the Tate & Lyle corporate website. This involved creating a test plan, test cases, running the functional tests and managing the bug reporting and resolution process. I also created a test plan and test cases for the Tullow Oil and Simmons and Simmons intranet sites. These three projects are based on SharePoint 2007 and gave me the opportunity to further develop my expertise in this field. I work for Chapter26, helping write test cases (which are defined against specific requirements) and running through those test cases for their SharePoint sites. I work closely with the developers on the project to ensure that any issues encountered are resolved. Publicis Modem While working at Publicis dialog, I was responsible for testing a number of Army sites (both intranet and extranet). These were primarily content managed sites using SharePoint 2007. I worked closely with the development team, divising the appropriate testing plan and individual test cases to test all areas of functionality (as identified in the technical specification, information architect and requirements documents). I was also responsible for testing sites as part of a project to move the sites to a virtual environment, which involved liaising with the 3rd party hosting company (RackSpace). Show less
