At Jackson, I work as a Strategic Support Associate and work on various skills throughout the company at the Zone on Michigan State Campus. On a daily basis I complete appointments for customers as well as producer of record changes for existing policies. I also contact outside companies and follow up on outgoing transfers for our customers. I support daily functions of other departments by inputting data and keying documents to the correct area of business to be worked. Our goal is to raise breast cancer awareness around campus and surrounding communicates. We participate in a number of different fundraisers and events around campus to spread the word such as Go Green Wear Pink week. We work with Susan G. Komen to help fund research, search for a cure, and connect with survivors. As Bowl for the Cure Chair, I plan a bowling event that where families and friends can participate and help to raise awareness, and provide fundraising for people in need. Supply Chain Intern
-
May 2018 - Aug 2018
This summer I worked with a group of interns on a SCOPA project, where our aim was to find new ways to improve the metrics within each of our teams. I contacted suppliers and other buyers to find gaps in communication and processes used between the companies. I learned the daily role of a buyer as well as various software programs used within a Supply Chain role such as Enovia and SAP. I led weekly/daily conference calls with suppliers to report on updates of incoming parts and orders. I learned how to place purchase orders, organize backlogs, as well as provide proper documentation for contracts and orders. Throughout this experience I gained valuable knowledge and a skill set that will help me in my future Supply Chain Management career. Show less

During our club's General Membership Meetings, companies would come and speak to our members about their company and the various opportunities offered as well as providing a networking system. Throughout the school year, I worked directly with the Vice President of the club and assisted with various tasks necessary for our weekly General Membership Meetings. I was in charge of providing food and beverages to the companies and members, as well as anything else the company was in need of. Throughout this experience I learned professionalism while interacting with companies and students in the club, as well as responsibility ensuring the meetings would run smoothly each week. I also learned how to balance my time between a leadership role along with school and work during the year. Show less
