Bio
GeJuana Robinson, MBA, CSPO
James Culp was an exceptional asset to the AHC Media Audio Conference group. His wealth of knowledge and tireless efforts are comparable to none. I was always impressed with his ability to intricately understand the markets he produced conferences for; whether it was the FDA, or biomedical services, James’ commitment to understanding his target market was always on the forefront of his conference planning. As a supervisor, James was extremely supportive of the marketing team and always made it his personal mission to provide us with the resources we needed to get our job done. His communication skills were extremely effective and his ability to connect with his team is a characteristic that you will not find in many supervisors.

I’ve known James professionally for several years and in early 2010 we finally found the right time to work together. James joined the EBI team in March 2010 as Account Manager, Audio Conference and Learning Programs and had an immediate positive impact on our business. He arrived on his first day prepared to ‘hit the ground’ running and immediately initiated great programs that our customers clearly valued. He approached his job in a collaborative yet accountable way and as a result quickly won the respect of a discerning group of peers and management. James simply took charge and delivered results for our customers and our organization. My only complaint is our time working together was too short. James was offered a slot in a prestigious MBA program and understandably left us to further his education. Even his departure from EBI was handled with diligence and professionalism as James took great care to thoroughly transition his projects. I’d welcome the opportunity to work with James in the future and I highly recommend him.

I identified challenges and opportunities across countries and divisions and recommended changes aligned with corporate goals. Questions I examined include:• What should be the five-year plan for a specific high-growth business unit?• What is our future in a specific high-revenue, low-growth market: move to lower cost models, acquire competitors to improve margin, or leave market entirely? • Should we develop a specific new offering? How will it fit market need? How should it fit into our organizational structure and who should lead it? • Why are we struggling to hire and retain talent in a competitive segment?I also was a lead on the Quintiles and IMS (now IQVIA) merger and integration, creating a $17B market cap company and changing the market landscape.
