I worked with Hugh Herr's Biomechatronics group in the MIT Media Lab in a project that is aimed at computationally designing and manufacturing prosthetic sockets for amputees. My part of the project wass to work with a Raspberry Pi based full body 3D scanner that can capture the external shape of the body. I built a user friendly interface that can achieve this using PiCamera on Python and UDP communication with the Raspberry Pi’s Terminal. I taught a course titled DIY: Build Your Own Laptop and Learn Coding to 10-12 year students at a camp at MIT. Led students through building their own laptop using Raspberry Pis as motherboards and taught them fundamentals of Python such as print statements, loops, functions, and simple data structures. Helped students create their own projects in python that they showcased to their parents at the end of the week.
