I personally organised a summer placement with TAP Biosystems, a leading global provider of automated cell culture and fermentation systems. My main role was to design a cleaning protocol for the ambr250TM high throughput micro bioreactor system. Working within the team, undertaking laboratory tests, having regular business meetings and writing a final report for the project manager improved my communication skills, confidence and team working skills in a way that only industrial experience can provide. As a result of my work here, my report was included in the final product specification used by the company.
