Mar 2019 - Present
Senior Molecular Biologist at the medical devices company BG Research Ltd. I am part of a small team that is currently developing a robust in-field diagnostic platform based on real time PCR. The challenges that I am proud to say we have over come are to make an extraction-free one-tube one-step RT-PCR method capable of highly sensitive detection of viral nucleic acid. The utility of the system has been tested pen-side at The Pirbright Institute and in collaborating medical laboratories throughout Europe during the SARS CoV2 pandemic. Show less
