Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, I was forced to return home early from my study abroad period, upon return, I managed to get a job at my local Sainsbury’s on a temporary contract to cover any individuals whom were sick or needed time off during this period. I worked well above my contracted hours alongside finishing my year abroad study program which I later passed with 50 ECTS Credits. Responsibilities included serving customers in a friendly and efficient manner as well as unloading deliveries and putting the appropriate products on the shelf, the role also involved assisting with the opening and closing of the store, shifts took place between 5:30-23:00.

The roles at Annie’s are similar to that of my previous jobs, customer service and handling customers money are the main responsibilities, organisational ability is essential as I was constantly working between the two. During my time at Annie's I also learned to effectively manage my work life, professional life and social life. Rota is an organisation in which its members complete shifts at various locations through choosing their desired shifts via an app. During my time with Rota I completed shifts, mainly waiting on at hotels and conference centres across Manchester. Carrying out the various roles demonstrates strong versatility initiative as I was completing work without extensive training. I applied previous skills and knowledge I had learned in my previous job to this new job and this proved effective. Includes Summer 2018/2019.Working in a customer facing position allowed me to develop my interpersonal and customer service skills, my multi-tasking and problem-solving abilities also improved in the duration that I worked at Fat Hippo. The fast-paced nature of the job taught me how to organise my time effectively and how to perform under pressure.
