Scope: Managed and maintained a large-scale analytics platform that leveraged React.js and Python and employed a microservices-based architecture developed using FastAPI and Docker. Automated the build and deployment process with CircleCI, resulting in efficient updates by the team. Duties and Activities Integrated various APIs to facilitate seamless data transfer with external systems, utilizing React Redux and RTK to manage application state. The platform was powered by a Postgres database and version-controlled via GitHub. Maintained performance and reliability of the platform using DataDog for metric tracking, Confluence for document management, and Jira and Mural for project management and team collaboration. Implemented a custom JSON logger to improve trace logging on DataDog and moved the entire python infrastructure logging to this new system. Ensured that components were thoroughly tested with adequate coverage using Jest and React Testing Library for unit tests and unittest for the Python backend code logic. Ensured proper API documentation using FastAPI’s built-in documentation generator (Swagger and Redoc), making it easy for other developers within the organization to use and integrate with the API. Conducted regular Proof of Concepts (POC) to explore and evaluate new technologies that could enhance the company's tech stack and enable better software solutions. Examples of POCs included switching to a headless CMS for content abstraction and enabling non-technical users to update and manage data, as well as transitioning from plotly to E-charts for the chart library. Integrated internationalization features using the i18next library, providing multilanguage support, and implemented numerous components for the design system on the new platform, including a date picker and date range picker that met specific design specifications while functioning correctly and satisfying multiple validation conditions.
