https://vimeo.com/43031535#Commissioned by Eurosac who are a confederation of paper sac manufacturers. This piece follows the life cycle of Russell the baby spruce and his dreams of becoming a paper sac.On this short corporate film I worked as a character animator and as a post-production artist, ensuring seamless integration between the 2D character animation and the live action environments. This role included, but was not limited to, matching grain and lighting conditions, ensuring correct blending, colour grading, 3D tracking, environmental effects/reflections and general digital composition.

http://vimeo.com/39056253This short film was comissioned by the Ronald McDonald House Charity to raise awareness for their cause. It was shown at a charity gala evening and is currently doing its rounds internally within the charity and online.I helped design and build the characters, as well as physically animating the puppets on location at Moorefield Hospital in London. After the location shoot, I worked on many shots during post-production, ensuring seamless rig-removal, tracking, facial animation and general composition to ensure the shot met with the client's standards and vision.

    • Freelance contracted clean-up artist and colourist on 'The Autumn Sea'
      • Apr 2011 - Oct 2011

Working as a colourist and clean-up artist on the yet-to-be-release short animated film 'The Autumn Sea', I was involved in the clean-up of messily scanned 2D artwork, producing a consistantly high-standard of clean line art across multiple frames. This included the removal of grain, grit and blemishes from the scanned artwork and the use of alpha mattes to produce sharp, clean edges to the linework. I was then employed as a colourist on the now cleaned-up frames, producing a maintained continuity of accurate colouring across many frames of animation, ensuring a well-structured file layout and an attention to detail befitting the professional production and final look of the short film.

http://vimeo.com/28018546 It was my brief to create a 'Creature Comforts' style series of animated interviews with new students at Southampton Solent University, discussing thoughts and feelings on their first few weeks. Original footage was shot around the university premises, then 2D animated characters were added in post-production, motion-tracked to integrate them fully into the background environments. 4866 individual frames of lip-sync were then added to have the characters talk.
