I started TNMP as a Technical Support representative. My daily duties consisted of taking calls from employees and troubleshooting or offering how to advice on the use of our WAN, LANs, or numerous software systems. Typical calls were problems with routers, printers, Citrix published programs, and our proprietary customer billing and tracking system. After 8 months I applied for, and was promoted to, Billing Analyst. My duties in this position consisted of reviewing billing cycles to look for irregularities and to troubleshoot their origins. In this capacity I also was in charge of running and maintaining the commercial remote meter reading system and providing support to the field reps that use the ITRON handheld readers that this system uses. If a handheld unit was broken it would be shipped to me and I would repair or if not repairable then act as a liaison with the company and get replacement units and ship them. Show less

Began as an entry level computer technician taking inbound calls from customers to troubleshoot for hardware issues and dispatch technicians if necessary. Within 12 months I had advanced to become a resource technician, looking over calls in progress and either approve them to be sent up for a technician to be dispatched or suggest other things for the support representative to try before approving for submission. After 6 moths in this position I was promoted to leader of this group where I managed 15 - 20 second level technicians and also took on the role of Quality Control Technician. In this role it was my job to review cases that had been sent up for dispatch to ensure compliance to company standards to ensure that an onsite tech was warranted. My time was split 60-40 between this role and managing my team which included mentoring, writing their schedule, writing and implementing ongoing training and interfacing with upper management and implementing new standards.
