I was the Chairman of the planning committee for the Society of Naval Architects and Marine Engineer’s 2018 Maritime Convention (SMC ’18) and feel compelled to endorse James’s work in putting together an outstanding program at this event for student members. In doing this James demonstrated exceptional leadership in coordinating several events (e.g. student design competition, student-industry roundtable, job fair, etc.) for hundreds of naval architecture and marine engineering students from more than 20 schools around the globe. I am extremely grateful to have worked with such an exceptionally hard-working and dedicated volunteer.

James is an absolutely amazing young man whose work ethic and drive to succeed will blow you away! During the three years while I had the privilege to work with him, James was the editor-in-chief of our school newspaper for two of those years. During that time, he took the paper online with a new web site, he instituted use of social networking via Twitter and Facebook to promote activities and the paper, and he incorporated a number of improvements for the staff. Honestly? I will never have an editor like James again during my tenure as newspaper adviser - of that, I am certain. This strong leader will be an asset to any company or job situation.
