1st Credit is one of the largest debt collection agencies in the UK worth over £4billion, under management 1st Credit regards itself as a true leader in debt purchase and outsourced debt collection services. The company was established in 2001 and continues to grow in size. During my time at 1st Credit I became dedicated to learning about debt recovery and the legal system. As my knowledge grew in these areas I began to realise how important being part of a team was. I learnt various skills in negotiation, communication and working under pressure. At my level targets were set each month and my main achievement was never failing to miss any of those targets. As a benchmark I aimed to speak to 150 people everyday to discuss their accounts. Acquiring data from customers was hard but essential for me to do my job.
