Dr Martin Douglas Hendry

James came to work with Virtuoso Legal in 2018 as part of our work placement scheme. Whilst here he demonstrated several impressive competencies. I was particularly impressed by his ability to proactively assist the team at a time where the team were inundated with substantial court matters - requiring James to go the extra mile right off the bat. He did this and a lot more without query or complaint and was a great asset to the team. James is a remarkably mature and hard-working individual who will offer great value to any law firm lucky enough to snap him up!

I have day to day management of 3volution's client's IP portfolios. I assist clients with trade mark clearance searches, advice in relation filing strategy and prosecution of both trade mark and design applications. In addition to serving 3volution’s client base, I assist a number of firms located across the world in helping them protect their client’s intellectual property and enforce such rights in the UK. Further to my IP non-contentious work, I assist also with UK IPO opposition and invalidity proceedings, trade mark infringement, copyright infringement and design infringement claims.I have experience with drafting commercial agreements including IP licences; IP assignments; terms and conditions and supply of goods and services agreements, to name a few.
