      This is a team leader position that manages four operational areas: Demineralizer Unit, Boiler Feed Water Unit, Lime Softener Unit, and Biological Treatment Unit. ACCOMPLISHMENTS:Selected by organizational leader to serve as the Unit Safety Team Chairman. Served in this leadership role for eight years (two terms). In this team environment, the following are partial examples of the safety initiatives implemented:Installed swing gates on stair ladder cages, which resulted in a decrease in falls. Streamlined the “Lock Out, Tag Out” procedures, which increased use and implementation of processes. Installation of bilingual signs throughout the plant to increase communication, use of accurate emergency procedures, and safety throughout the plant.Volunteered to acquire Wastewater Treatment Certification. RELEVANT RESPONSIBILITIES: Ensures optimal operation of multiple units, including oversight of productivity, safety, and maintenance; staff scheduling, and serving as intermediary between other units. Leads a diverse four-man team, including performance reviews, safety oversight, managing assignments, and supporting training/professional development opportunities.Executes inventory management, audits, and maintenance and safety issue resolutions. Influences and leads operating procedures and Health, Safety, and Environmental reviews and updates, including communicating changes to relevant stakeholders.
