James was one of my first undergraduate researchers I mentored who certainly set the bar high for future undergraduate researchers. He's a quick learner who came in with very little cellular and molecular biology lab experience and within a few months was able to execute cell culture studies independently. Additionally, with his programming expertise, James successfully created a MATLAB program to quantify cell migration over time in response to various stimuli. Overall, I enjoyed mentoring James and his research over his two year tenure in the McDevitt lab resulted in a peer-reviewed publication.

I had the pleasure of working with James during our time at TheraCord. He has the rare combination of brilliant technical skills while being an outstanding communicator and leader. I was always blown away by the quality, thought and detail that went into his drawings and prototypes but I was most impressed with James’ ability to command a room and build a consensus. I can only give James my highest recommendation; he would be an invaluable asset to any team.
