  Working as a contractor I initially entered a short term contract with Tiwest JV who provided a great level of exposure to the ways of the mining industry and also introduced me to some great contacts from different professions. Supporting the accounting team on an interim basis to bridge accounting hand over I had my contract extended and was seconded to work major projects within the commercial contract department to provide a financial model and support the creation of a quantative and qualities assessment of tenders. Additionally I was called upon to support litigation processes and with no previous involvement or knowledge managed to successfully substantiate damages and costs that were well recovered.
