I assist in the management of Colorado Film School operations with a team of visionary innovators. I help to schedule classes and evaluate how to improve course progressions and cross-discipline collaborations among our six degree pathways. I assist in the development of our CFS Greenlight virtual studio system which incorporates tools for instructional evaluation, production management, equipment rental and a virtual economic system that mirrors industry practices while motivating students to build relationships and professional accountability.I produce and direct a variety of content for the film school and community partners including public television documentaries, internal promotional efforts and community events. I instruct our Commercial Production class which has filmed more than 20 beautiful and impressive TV spots used in regional and national advertising campaigns for Toyota since 2015I oversee the operation of our equipment rental house and the management of student workers for internal efforts, community collaborations and regular college events. Emphasizing technique and craft, as well as storytelling and theory, CFS fosters collaborative curricula where students across classes and areas of expertise interact. The cooperation of actors, cinematographers, editors, directors, producers and writers involved in the CFS community creates a synergy that elevates the production quality of our films while reflecting industry practices and standards. In my opinion we provide the highest value film school experience in the the world.Come to the CFS show at Harkin Theater's Cine Capri twice a year to see an impressive display of the future of the film industry! I manage the equipment, supervise lab technicians, teach and produce content for the Colorado Film School. In my opinion we provide the highest value film school experience in the the world. Emphasizing technique and craft, as well as storytelling and theory, CFS fosters collaborative curricula where students across classes and areas of expertise interact. The cooperation of actors, cinematographers, directors, producers and writers involved in the CFS community creates a synergy that elevates the production quality of our films while reflecting industry practices and standards. CFS students produce an amazing volume and diversity of films each year and our impressive inventory of production equipment in constant rotation makes our shop one of the busiest rental houses in the country. With a fleet of cameras from DSLRs to F3, Blackmagic, RED, FS7, F5, and F55, lights including the latest in LEDs, Plasma, HMIs, and a huge range of grip and audio equipment, our students create cinema quality films from early stages in their academic careers. I managed and maintained the field production kit for Wild Planet: North America. The equipment I looked after includes 6 x P2 Varicams, a Phantom v640, a Phantom HD Gold, a Cineflex v14, 2 x camBLOCK timelapse/motion control systems, an ABC 6m crane and many associated production accessories. With 6-8 crews in constant rotation from Panama to the Arctic Circle from 2009-12, the 7 part series airing on the Discovery Channel in late 2012 promises spectacle, surprise, and the highest production quality of any natural history production to date.
