I have been incredibly lucky to have had James working with The Academy for the past 18 months. A hard worker by nature, James works well with other staff members is very popular with the kids that he coaches. He would be an asset to any team.

While being involved with the academy I have developed further many of the coaching skills and attributes that I previously learned while starting my coaching career and Campbell College Belfast. While at the academy I have been part of a team that has strived to ensure that we primarily ensure that those attending the camps enjoy themselves but also provide an environment in which they can develop themselves into the best rugby player that they can be through using a wide range of coaching techniques.

While working with ACA I have been involved in a number of events that have required working within a team and carrying out tasks as an individual to maintain the very high standards set within ACA. I have developed great communication and leadership skills while with ACA and have a great rapport with my colleagues and clients. While at Campbell I have really learned what it is to be part of a team that puts the development and welfare of its pupils to the forefront of its objectives. While within this coaching team I have helped with organising away fixtures and organising team selections. Alongside this I have achieved coaching qualifications, a PT course which has given me a better understanding of strength and conditioning and a refereeing course taken by Guinness PRO 12 referee and IRFU development officer David Wilkinson. While at campbell my passion for Rugby, strength and conditioning alongside analysis I have been allowed to develop myself into a better rugby coach and individual.
