Never James - always 'Stan'. This epitomised James' management style - approachable, friendly and inclusive. Stan was an excellent mentor for me in my early 20s - no one knew as much about consumer electronics as Stan did and he led by example with his ability to sell. He has a remarkably subtle but powerful leadership style - you never felt like you were being 'managed' by Stan but you were always learning from him and he was always encouraging you to think critically about your own 'practice', pushing you to consistently meet targets and improve. Stand not only took an interest in sales but also liked to ensure he kept a tight ship and his team fit and healthy - there's nothing more he liked to get us to do than put the washing machines in price logic order on a near daily basis... something I will never forget. Thanks Stan.

James worked for me in our newly refurbished Store in Leicestershire where he was fully accountable for the day to day running of the exceptionally busy Electrical Department. His enthusiasm to deliver first class customer service was exceptional and his product knowledge was second to none.
