    • Engineering Project Lead
      • May 2021 - Present

I lead a global Integrated Project Team as an Engineering Project Lead. As a team we work to design world class galleys for commercial aircraft interior systems. My current role involves planning and managing the design of aircraft galley systems based on customer requirements for a range of airline companies throughout the Airbus A350 XWB programme. The role requires the ability to be confident in the product design with a focus on customer communications to ensure the design meets requirements. Along with the Project Manager and Project Engineers I am responsible for organising a team of multi disciplined engineers based primarily in the UK and the US, with assistance from the Philippines to meet customer design standards ahead of delivery schedules. This involves daily communication with various stakeholders, reporting to senior management, addressing design concerns with appropriate solutions and the enabling and expediting of design processes throughout the entire design lifespan of a project, from initial build through various iterative rebuilds to final delivery. Using various software packages such as Hevacomp, AutoCAD, ReluxPro and observing utilisation of BIM Revit designed lighting, small power and fire safety systems for public sector buildings to client and British Standards through evenly distributing three-phase power loads and calculating appropriate cable sizes to ensure voltage drops were within acceptable tolerances. On site evaluations were carried out when necessary.
