I joined McCathern's Litigation and Appellate practices in 2015 after moving to Dallas from Washington, DC. I currently handle a diverse portfolio of actively litigated civil matters on behalf of corporate and individual clients, with a particular focus on commercial leasing disputes, complex business litigation, oil and gas construction litigation, and appeals. Over the course of my career, I have represented and obtained favorable results for clients at every stage of civil and criminal litigation in state and federal courts, before Congress, and in proceedings before administrative agencies and state bar disciplinary authorities. I have shepherded cases from pre-suit investigation and negotiation through merits appeal to the United States Supreme Court. In addition to my work for paying clients, I have devoted a substantial portion of my practice to pro bono representation of clients in cases of importance to the LGBT community, and I am a referring attorney for Lambda Legal and Immigration Equality. I am admitted to practice in Texas, Massachusetts, and the District of Columbia, and I am a member of the bars of the U.S. Supreme Court and federal appeals and trial courts across the country. I started my legal career as an associate in Akin Gump's Litigation and Appellate practices in Washington, DC. In addition to complex civil cases of the kind I continue to handle, I also worked with the firm's white collar criminal group representing clients in indicted criminal cases and congressional investigations.
