• Undertaking a number of roles in the store, I developed outstanding customer service skills. My position has required me to deal with many customer queries and complaints, which has improved my interpersonal communication skills to a great extent. My communication was also pertinent to the sale of produce behind the counter, where my persuasive skills were most useful in increasing sales. • As a service counter partner, I was professionally organized, facing many tasks with strict deadlines regarding health and safety, and hygiene standards. The fast pace business has also provided me with a superlative commercial awareness and has further grown my understanding of what is necessary for commercial success.

I was educated on the inner workings of the Metropolitan police: I participated in public order training scenarios for the Territorial Support Group in Gravesend; I went to New Scotland Yard, gaining an insight into central police work; at Hendon I participated in aerial rescue training exercises; at a covert police station I shadowed a Detective Chief Superintendent for a Homicide and Serious Crime Command Unit; at the Mounted Branch in Bow I learned how a horse can support the police; and I also participated in a training exercise with police dogs at Chigwell Police Club.
