I provide specialised Health and Wellbeing education, and fitness based classes to over, 400 children a week in 20 separate schools around West Lancs throughout the year. This has provided me with a wealth of experience with all ages of children from yr. 1 to yr. 6, including statemented and S.E.N children. I work for a 10-12-week term before moving to a further cluster of five schools (1 a day). It has also enabled me to gain many addition experiences working with many different teachers and T. A’s, also utilising the knowledge and experience to enhance my own.

As a fitness professional for Bannatynes I have developed personally tailored fitness programmes for individuals with a range of needs and requirements, including the elderly, disabled, those wishing to lose weight, professional sports players, and those wishing to simply improve their fitness. I teach between 10-15 group exercise classes per week, from the intensive spinning and body pump, and body combat classes, to less intensive aqua aerobics and low impact aerobics. I also work with clients on a one to one basis as required. The classes I teach consistently exceed participation targets and frequently have a waiting list for a space. Throughout the year I promote a number of fitness incentive challenges, including Calorie Challenges and Air Miles competitions. These have proved popular with both new and existing members who enjoy having mini targets and competitions to motivate them throughout the year, and have received positive feedback. I have also organised and participated in a number of charity events, the most recent one being a 4hr Spinathon which members also participated in

Fitness Manager

Mar 1997 - May 2006
I was employed in an assistant managerial capacity to assist in the day to day running and administration of the fitness club at this private leisure complex which had over 3000 members. I supervised approximately 18 members of staff including fitness staff, domestics, and reception staff; as well as co-ordinating staff and fitness class timetable. I was actively involved in promotional activity for the club including marketing and incentive schemes. Each class at the time had participation targets, and personally my classes exceeded these to the point where a booking system had to be implemented and extra classes timetabled to meet the demand
